Musical Painting
These Internal Images evolve and lead into the period known as “Musical Painting” [Plástica Musical], in which the painter moves from figurative to abstract painting.
Ochoa himself said “Music creates a melody and with its notes, (...) and chords, produces a harmony for us to hear. We are searching for a way to transfer these melodies in paint using colours as an intermediary, until we can find the same musical sensation through the eyes. The painter of music became totally absorbed by the musical compositions of Chopin, but also of the Great Masters such as Beethoven, Debussy, Bach, Albéniz or Falla, amongst others".
